Picture Competition 3 – Covid Days

Introduction

I tested positive for Covid 19 on Monday 18th October. I felt poorly for a few days, I now feel a lot better. I’m stuck in self isolation until tomorrow, enjoying the World T20 Cricket World Cup!

So, before I get out and about again, hopefully this Thursday, and to add to the entertainment, here is my third Picture Competition, taken from walks I completed between July and December 2017.

The Header Picture isn’t part of the quiz. It is a 2017 shot of the wonderful New Mills Millenium Walkway.

Rules

I’ve numbered them 1 to 12, so if you know a location (or for number 8, name that bird!) write the number and answer as a comment at the bottom of this blog post (not on Facebook, Twitter or email).

Only name 1 each please, to give others a chance. If you have a particular favourite, note which one it is.

Any other comments about the locations are welcome.

In a few days, I’ll add a comment with the answers.

And Finally……

For today’s music I’ve gone back to my favourite albums of 2017, and rediscovered this forgotten gem, Adiós Señor Pussycat by Michael Head and the Red Elastic Band. This track is called Picasso.

    Absolutely , spot on.
It’s a lovely walk up there, round to Mam Tor and back to Castleton. Though, the day I took this pic I took a different route and ended up at another of the pictures in this quiz!
